Campaign Funds

In the Community. Of the Community.

From the beginning, an important part of Island Pacific Academy’s mission has emphasized character and cultivation of core values such as kindness and a generosity of spirit. Visitors to the campus readily sense a school culture defined by inclusiveness and mutual respect.

The Families and the Future campaign was developed in this same spirit to align with the Mission, Vision and Values of the school. Our focus is on ensuring that no high potential student in our community is denied the opportunity of an IPA education, and that our values-driven campus and curriculum continues to be a vibrant hub for education excellence — now and for future generations.

Families and the Future:
Campaign Endowments and Funds

In celebration of IPA’s 20th Anniversary, Dr. Dan and Judy White, two of the school’s founders, and Island Pacific Academy’s first Head of School, established the I Mua Me Ka Haʻaheo Faculty and Staff Endowed Fund. This endowed fund reflects their deep commitment to the values of generosity of spirit and the power of human kindness that have shaped IPA since its founding.

Created through a significant multi-year gift, the fund is dedicated to supporting faculty and staff salaries and professional development opportunities. Recognizing the critical role teachers and staff play in the school’s culture and long-term success, this fund is designed to provide sustainable dividends for years to come. The founders invite the entire IPA community to contribute and help grow the fund, ensuring a lasting impact for the educators and mentors who make a difference every day.

The Hisako Wilhelm Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Lance and Marcy Wilhelm to honor Lance’s late mother, Hisako Wilhelm, a single mother who prioritized providing a top-notch education for her three children. Lance, a founding member who was instrumental in building IPA, has remained deeply connected to the school.

This scholarship reflects the Wilhelms’ commitment to ensuring access to quality education and will support students from single-parent households who demonstrate both academic and financial need. Lance and Marcy are proud parents of IPA alumna Kate Wilhelm ’20, and Lance serves as an Emeritus Trustee on the IPA Board of Trustees. By creating this scholarship, the Wilhelms continue their legacy of generosity, helping to make the IPA experience accessible to students who will thrive within its values-driven, college preparatory environment.

Kalaeloa Partners, L.P., led by General Manager Hans (Ruedi) Tobler, is the first donor to support the Families and the Future Endowed Fund, a key component of Island Pacific Academy’s “Families and the Future” campaign. Their generous contribution sets the stage for this vital initiative, which aims to raise $3 million over the next five years.

The Families and the Future Endowed Fund will help establish a lasting endowment to provide financial assistance. This campaign is critical to ensuring IPA’s long-term sustainability and continued excellence in education.

The Navigator Fund is IPA’s annual fund, which covers the gap between tuition and the actual cost of educating a student at IPA. Join us in serving our West Oʻahu community with a vibrant curriculum from a campus where students come first and values matter.

With every donation, whether $20 or $20,000, you help us maintain an empowering environment where:

  • Individuality is Valued: Every student’s unique potential is recognized and cultivated.
  • Students are Empowered: We provide tools and opportunities for students to excel academically and grow personally.
  • Future Success is Inspired: Our graduates leave IPA ready to lead and succeed in a global society.
